As far as I can remember, there's never been an Easter season since I've been here that we didn't get snowed on. This shot was taken from the middle of the road right in front of my driveway looking to the south. Please note, the road had not been plowed.
Looking north, toward the Talkeetnas. Earlier in the day (see photo below), I couldn't see the mountains in this shot, let alone the spruce trees out at the corner or, for that matter, the speed limit sign.
Believe it or not, this is a view you've seen many, many times. It's the view across Wasilla Lake to the mountains beyond. Yeah, I know. What mountains?
As you can see from the shadow, some sunshine finally came out. This is the view back into my driveway from the road, looking just a tad to the right and the spruce trees.
The house from about the same spot as the previous photo. I only cleared a wide enough lane in the driveway to get out, so the driveway is looking a tad rough.
Here's your spruce tree, Betty Walden, the one on the left. Only a couple days ago it was all green.
Finally, the spruce tree that stands right in front of the house beside the living room window.
