More Pretty Flowers, Yellow and Otherwise

Since I'm hopeless with flower names, this flower (actually, a Globe Flower) has become known to me as the "Pretty Yellow Flower" that was the very first to ever bloom after I moved into this house. Here they are on Saturday after a light rain. CLICK FOR LARGER VERSIONS

One day's difference....

Sunday, they're much further along, looking far more like real flowers than yellow buds, pretty as even the buds are.

Considering the fact that I didn't even know what it was called when I first encountered it, this has become one of my favorite flowers.

Of course, it's hard to ignore the Columbine, too, with its interesting array of colors and shape. This is the first one this season.

Rhubarb anyone?

I'm back into the "I don't have a clue what its name is" realm here. Sure is pretty, tho', even if it isn't at my place.

Even better, it had lots of company.

Look at the background of this one. Can you guess where this display is located?
Even in the rain, it's quite the lovely greeting as I drive through.

Give up? Believe it or not, the last few, starting with the big, orangish one, are planted alongside the McDonald's drive-thru here in Wasilla.
Back to my house....now that I've eaten.

The lilac bush is beginning to show off. Considering the fact this thing was coated in ice only couple months ago, not too shabby, huh?

Yeah, yeah, I know. Intellectually, I know the dandelion is a weed. But, for a weed, it's darn pretty and I love the burst of yellow in the pasture.
